The mission of Jarg Corporation is to bring semantically intelligent knowledge applications into the mainstream of productivity application development. Jarg enables next-generation responsive, flexible, high performance knowledge indexing, assembly, integration and decision-support software.  

Jarg builds the Semantic Knowledge Indexing Platform (SKIP). SKIP is an intellectual property suite. It features the next-generation ontology-based knowledge-indexing engine, which filters information according to its full contextual meaning, enabling superior precision and extended recall’ while reducing the burden of information assets maintenance.

Jarg’s SKIP is built upon open source components. To strengthen the market position and establish barriers to competition on behalf of Jarg’s consortium of productivity application partners and customers, Jarg holds numerous patents and is actively expanding its intellectual property portfolio and product base.  

Our products derives from problems resolved for the National Science Foundation (NSF) under academic grants and for the National Institutes of Health (NIH), under an SBIR grant to improve their computer’s understanding of bio-medical research information.  

Jarg Corporation is a private company, funded by founders, established investors in information technology and the life sciences. Jarg Corporation markets its semantic search service to life sciences and health care companies through its wholly-owned division, Semantx Life Sciences.  

Founders  

Michael Belanger is the President and Co-Founder of Jarg Corporation. Mr. Belanger is well known for his contributions to entrepreneurship and innovation. He was director of sales and marketing on the founding team of COLORGEN which invented the compact PC-based paint-chip color matching appliance that changed the global economics of paint retailing to be customer-defined color driven. The company had a successful IPO and subsequently achieved over 80% of world market share.    

Professor Ken Baclawski is the Chief Technical Architect and Co-Founder of Jarg Corporation. Professor Baclawski is the inventor of our patented method for indexing the qualitative context of information. He is co-author of “Ontologies for Bioinformatics” MIT Press, he consults on knowledge fusion and the Semantic web, including work on the Defense Agencies Markup Language (DAML).
